Our Improved Web & Membership System


Although this site looks like the previous, it has been re-engineered, and we have partnered with to host this new version so that we can provide better services to members, and reduce manual processing costs. continues to be the gateway site to the other TCA websites, although you may go directly to any of them, as before. What has changed is that our new membership database is now integrated with this site, so that when you change your information or make dues payment online, your records are automatically updated. We'll be able to automatically notify you when it's time to renew your membership, and it will all be handled securely. You will be able to receive more information from us electronically. Behind the scenes, TCA's record-keeping will be more efficient. As more members utilize this online approach, TCA's savings will grow!

So how does it work?

With your username and password, you can sign in to this site and update your member profile and even change your username or password. If you forget your username and/or password, you can click Forgot Your Password in the left column, and by entering either your email address or your username, you can reset it without having to contact TCA staff. No delay, and this will also save us money!

Now, every TCA member will be able use their login to access:

  • The TCA x-change site ( and post and see ads as usual.
  • On, you will be able to access the members-only section which will continue to provide information such as the archives of the National Headquarters News, Train Collectors Quarterly, Meeting Minutes, meeting agendas and minutes, complaint procedures, etc.
  • Here on you will manage your user profile (address, email address, areas of interest, etc.) and make dues payments. You won't have to request a buy-sell login as was previously the case, since every member will already have one.

With this system, the instant you change your email address, it will be available for any general mailings we send out, reducing lost emails and improving your ability to participate in TCA's services and benefits.

How do I manage my account?

It's easy. After you have logged in to, look in the left column for Manage Profile in the My Profile box.

Update your settings at any time! Likewise, if you change your physical address, that gets added to any outgoing US mailing lists. Often go somewhere for the winter? You can enter an alternate address and just toggle which address to use (please understand that some mailing labels are printed in advance of mailing).

Want to Change Your Username or Password?

Yes you can. Just click on Manage Profile as seen above, then click on Edit Bio, to change your username or your password. While you are there, check and update your other information, so that TCA has the very latest.


Our membership system does require that a username be between 4 and 20 characters. It may even be your email address if you prefer that, although something different is better if you frequently use or change to different addresses. All passwords must be at least 8 digits, and include at least one letter and one number.


How Do I Pay My Dues? 

In the dropdown under Member Services up above, click on Pay Dues When Billed. If you aren't logged in, it will ask you to.
On the page that then comes up, you will see an explanation, providing two online methods:
If you just want to pay the basic $50 dues, and have received an invoice, it will be listed at the bottom of the page. Click on its icon to make online payment, or you can print it out.
If you want to also pay for First Class Mailing, order Family Member cards, or make a donation, you will see a link to a different system, which can accept that information and handle your payment. (Note that currently Family Member Cards that you order can't be printed online, they will be mailed.)
Confused? You can always send in your payment with the paper invoice that was mailed out to those currently due, although we strongly urge you to give the online system a try.
